Gods and Dogs - Gameweek 34

Who was important, and who was impotent? Find out here.

Gods

Gavin McCann The Trotters midfielder rode his luck defensively, and his snatched goal earned Bolton a status saving three points.

Michael Owen Owen helped himself to a brace, and Newcastle to another three points. The Magpies striker took full advantage of Sunderland's make-shift defence.

Gareth Barry The Villa captain orchestrated Birmingham's spanking. If he's not playing for a 'top-four' club next season - I'll eat my hat.

Dogs

Liam Ridgewell The Blues defender was given the unenviable task of containing big John Carew - and failed dismally.

Hermann Hreidarsson the Icelandic defender put his team at a disadvantage, after he was sent off for hauling down Darius Vassell in the 41st minute.

Danny Murphy Fulham were against Liverpool's reserve squad, but failed to take advantage of it. Murphy missed a great chance to score, and was subbed late in the game.
